GameGune Summary

It’s been afew busy days. Not much sleep, but lots of Counter-Strike.

This year’s GameGuneis over. When we look back, a few teams surprised, some didn’t live up to theirseed, and some were just lucky. The event that started with such an impressiveteamlist, went downhill just before the event were suppose to start. Teams likeNiP, x6tence, Virtus.pro and GoodGame backed out. Leaving only 32 teams left.The teams that did show up made the audience go wild. Who would have thoughtthe ESWC champions would be out even before the final bracket. Nobody if youask me. The final has been played, and fnatic walked away with the 12.000€ after winning on two maps against mibr. A few of the players will attend the allstar match, fnx, cogu, dsn and f0rest.

A team that really showed their A-Game was Ideal Gaming from Denmark. They wereseeded 22., but they managed to gain a 7-8. Place, which I must say is quiteimpressive. They lost a very close match to ZYKON, but before their exit, theywere able to beat following teams; Dignitas, LegionnaiRe, and BTR. This is it for this year’s edition ofGameGune. I truly hope they will be back with their invite tournament nextyear, because I really enjoyed it. Drop by our coverage section if you missedanything.
